Boots Haul

Boots Haul

I’ve been at it again! Some one stop me! I’m joking, Don’t stop me, Please. I decided to take a quick look in Boots, Which was a mistake because who am I kidding, I wasn’t going to come out empty-handed was I. There was a lot I could have come out with as there are soooooo many new realises as the moment, But I came out with 4 Products which is fairly good for me! here’s what I got…..

I’ve run out of my Colab Extreme dry shampoo which I love for giving me more volume, I love me some volume! So I decided to see if this new product from batiste would be just as good or even better. First Impressions are is smells good! I’m yet to try it on my hair but I have high hopes! I picked this up for £4.29 which is slightly more expensive than the colab one but I though it was time to try something new!

Next thing I picked up is something you’ve all probably read or seen a beauty blogger talk about before! It’s a new realise from Loreal, It’s there Glam Bronze Cushion De Soleil. It’s a really cool concept. As it says in the name, it’s a cushion which has the product on. It does come with an applicator although I personally will be using a brush with this. They also have another product in the collection called Cushion Nude Magique Foundation which I really want to try but as I had already picked up a foundation (see below) so I decided I would pick it up next time. It was actually on offer at £9.99 as an introductory price, It will soon go up to £14.99 so if you want to check it out, Get it whilst it’s on offer!

Words cannot describe how excited I am for this foundation. I’ve been dying to try it for years although it’s only ever been available in america. I didn’t plan on getting it as I didn’t know it had been realised here in the UK but when I saw it a let out a little “Ekkkk” and tried to explain how exciting it was to my boyfriend, But of course he didn’t understand like I did. I have swatched this and it’s actually a lot different to what I expected. It’s quite a runny texture, I expected it to be quite thick. But either way I’m excited to try it! This was £5.99 so not too expensive for a drug store foundation!

IMG_1138.jpgI also picked up my new favourite concealer. The Maybeline FIT me concealer. I love this stuff. Its got really good coverage for spots, undereyes and redness so a brillaint all rounder. What I like to most its its super blendable and creamy but it doesnt crease at all. Definitly a holy gail now! It’s not too expensive either, coming in a £5.99 I can’t complain!

I had been meaning to try this for such a long time. Everytime I went into town I kept putting it off as i’ve been trying to save money, but a couple of weeks ago on a trip to boots, I decided i’d pick it up and give it a good old go!

Obviously as you’ve guessed by the name, its a matte finish. I wouldnt say its the sort of matte foundation that dries and leaves your face looking like you used a spoon to put it on. Its a really natual finish, It feels like you have nothing on your face which looks and feels lovely! I picked up the shade ivory, which suits me perfectly. It’s not too yellow and not too pink, its just in the middle.

As for the consistencey, its very thick, which is off putting at first as you think that its going to look really unatural on the face. But don’t let it trick you. It feels slighly ‘mousse like’ so It blends into a natural finish but still convering all of my redness and blemishes.

As for the staying power. I wear it on an every day basis and i’d say i have it on for about 12 hours. It last brilliantly, I dont have to power as it stays perfectly matte, and it doesnt oxidize on the face. Ive tried alot of matte foundations as they are my favourite type, and i have to say this is by far the best. I’ve worn it everyday since getting it and i love it! It take 2 seconds to blend with my bobbi brown blending brush so perfect if you’re in a rush and doesnt leave you’re face in a patchy mess. You cant moan at the price either, think i picked this up for around £5.99 So a perfect everyday foundation.

This weekend I popped into Superdrug to pick up a few things. Obviously the superdrug curse got hold of me and I ended up getting alot more that I actually needed. But in my defence, alot of brands have been coming out with loads of interesting products recently!…

The first thing I picked up was Maybeline Dream Velvet foundation. I love Matte foundations as they really suit my skin. I orginally went to pick up the Loreal Infalliable Matte Foundation, Although this caught my eye straight away. When I tried it in the shop it smoothed on my hand so smoothly. It looked like it had good coverage aswell so I couldnt wait to try it out. Review coming soon!

Next up I got the New Loreal Colour Riche Le Vernis A L’Huile in Absinthe vert. I have been looking for something like this forever! It’s a lovely khaki colour and looks lovely on the nails! Favourite nail polish ever!

Whilst looking at the maybeline stand I noticed the new push up mascara, I’ve been meaning to get a new mascara for ages as the one i’ve got doesnt work for me at all. Once i’ve tried this out for a week or two i’ll write a proper review so watch this space for that.

Obviously I couldnt not look at the hair stuff. I end up picked up some bits from Loreal as i noticed some new stuff from them. I think the studio pro range is faily new anway… I’ve only recently seen it in superdrug so i’m not sure. I picked up the boost it volume mouse and the fixing hairspray. I used this today and already love them. My hair seem to lack abit of life recently. It so flat and ‘boring’, but this definitely gave it the boost it needed.

Lastly, I picked up the eligant touch 001 nails. I have extemely bad nails so sometimes I just want something to make them look half decent again. These are my go to nails, they’re just the right lengh and last really well too.

Will review most of these product soon so look out for those!
