L’Oreal Paris Telescopic Magnetic Mascara | REVIEW

If you’ve read my previous posts on mascara’s, You’ll know I only have one In my life. It’s my ride or die, It’s my perfect mascara! It’s the one and only Benefit Roller Lash. I’m sure you’ve all heard it all before so I won’t bore you, But it just gets on with my lashes. It doesn’t clump them and make them stick out like daggers, It coats them just enough and It’s the only one that actually curls my lashes. So you’re probably thinking, Why are you reviewing another mascara when you’ve already found the perfect one? Well, I’m not rich and I’d like to cut down on things, If that means trying new mascara’s then so be it! So while I was in boots I thought I’d have a look at the L’Oreal mascaras because they have quite an extensive range. I had a feel of all the brushes, Even had danny trying a few because there was so many, Until I decided on the L’Oreal telescopic Magnetic Mascara. I’m more of a plastic brush lover, I just find the bristle brushes don’t work for me. The brush on this mascara is kinda like the roller lash one. You can feel it gripping your lashes and coating them all individually. It’s a fibre formula so It’s super Lengthing and volumising. I find when I apply this mascara you can really see each lash. It works wonders on my bottom lashes as well. It really emphasises them which Is good because I like a strong lower lash. Overall, I really got on with this mascara. I never thought I would say this but It’s definitley a great cheaper alternative for my beloved Benefit Roller Lash. Infact it’s much cheaper, I picked it up from Boots for £10.99. Cutting down Is definitley going well!  YAY. *High fives myself*.

OOTD: Visiting Some Waterfalls

OOTD: Visiting Some Waterfalls

I’m on a OOTD roll at the moment! When we went away a few weeks back I though it would be a perfect opportunity to take as many outfit pictures as possible, Which is exactly what I did. So here’s another one coming your way!

Whilst in Wales we visited devils bridge, Which is a breathtakingly beautiful place. With Achient bridges, windy paths, spectacular views and gorgeous waterfalls. It is one hell of a trek but so worth it to see the views and waterfalls. The day I went it was pretty warm so I decided to wear shorts. The shorts I took with me where a loose pair from New Look because I didn’t want anything tight because it was so hot and they are super comfy for walking in, Surprise surprise they were khaki, just like the majority of my wardrobe. I didn’t really plan a top to go with this outfit, I kinda just shoved any one on that was clean. It worked out quite well, I think it goes together rather well, If i do say so myself!  I picked up the top from Newlook not to long ago. It’s stripy and has tassels. Who doesn’t like tassels? As we was going to be walking quite far, I came prepared with my Vans. They are incredibly comfy and I love how they are a classic pair of shoes that never get old! I also took my little shoulder bag although thinking about it, It wasn’t that practical as I had to lug around my camera all day. Ah well, Looks good.

Boots Haul

Boots Haul

I’ve been at it again! Some one stop me! I’m joking, Don’t stop me, Please. I decided to take a quick look in Boots, Which was a mistake because who am I kidding, I wasn’t going to come out empty-handed was I. There was a lot I could have come out with as there are soooooo many new realises as the moment, But I came out with 4 Products which is fairly good for me! here’s what I got…..

IMG_1132

I’ve run out of my Colab Extreme dry shampoo which I love for giving me more volume, I love me some volume! So I decided to see if this new product from batiste would be just as good or even better. First Impressions are is smells good! I’m yet to try it on my hair but I have high hopes! I picked this up for £4.29 which is slightly more expensive than the colab one but I though it was time to try something new!

IMG_1133.jpgIMG_1134.jpg

Next thing I picked up is something you’ve all probably read or seen a beauty blogger talk about before! It’s a new realise from Loreal, It’s there Glam Bronze Cushion De Soleil. It’s a really cool concept. As it says in the name, it’s a cushion which has the product on. It does come with an applicator although I personally will be using a brush with this. They also have another product in the collection called Cushion Nude Magique Foundation which I really want to try but as I had already picked up a foundation (see below) so I decided I would pick it up next time. It was actually on offer at £9.99 as an introductory price, It will soon go up to £14.99 so if you want to check it out, Get it whilst it’s on offer!

IMG_1136.jpg

Words cannot describe how excited I am for this foundation. I’ve been dying to try it for years although it’s only ever been available in america. I didn’t plan on getting it as I didn’t know it had been realised here in the UK but when I saw it a let out a little “Ekkkk” and tried to explain how exciting it was to my boyfriend, But of course he didn’t understand like I did. I have swatched this and it’s actually a lot different to what I expected. It’s quite a runny texture, I expected it to be quite thick. But either way I’m excited to try it! This was £5.99 so not too expensive for a drug store foundation!

IMG_1138.jpgI also picked up my new favourite concealer. The Maybeline FIT me concealer. I love this stuff. Its got really good coverage for spots, undereyes and redness so a brillaint all rounder. What I like to most its its super blendable and creamy but it doesnt crease at all. Definitly a holy gail now! It’s not too expensive either, coming in a £5.99 I can’t complain!

How I Look After My Barnet

How I Look After My Barnet

IMG_1097.jpg

Now, When it comes to my hair, it take a lot to keep it under control. It’s a sensitive Barnet. It doesn’t like some products else it goes greasy, It doesn’t like others because it goes dry. I can never win. Until recently, I’ve nailed the perfect routine. No more hairs tantrums for me! Today I’m going to put together my fave things to use to keep it happy.

I’ll start with shampoo and conditioner. I’m never really been fussed about shampoo or condition. It never really does mush to my hair. Recently I needed to pick up a new one, so picked up the Ultimate Blends Mthyic Oil Collection. It seems to be doing the job pretty well. It doesn’t make my roots greasy but it still nourishes the ends, Which are pretty dry at the moment. I tend to leave the conditioner on the ends for around 5-10 mins and after they feel silky smooth!

Once i’ve washed my hair I towel dry and usually leave it wrapped in the towel for ages because I can never be arsed to do anything with it. So after about an hour sat with a towel on my head I brush through with my trusty tangle teaser. I don’t know what I did with my life before I had this. I know I went through alot of pain everytime I needed to brush my hair but this has changed everything. I doesn’t yank on my scalp and I’ve found less of my hair breaks off.

Once I have detangled all the knots, I use the Redken Extreme Anti-Snap. This is some seriously good stuff. Now, my hair was pretty weak before using this. I have dyed my hair all sorts of colours before so all that dying did no good for my hair. But since using this, It’s so much stronger and healthier. You can really notice a difference, Even my hairdresser has commented on how strong it is!

Next is to protect. I use the Ultimate blends The Sleek Protector oil. This stuff smells so good. It does a good job too so that’s a bonus. I use about a 2p size blob and smooth it through the ends. You really don’t need too much else it can make it a tad greasy, but if you use the right amount, it makes your hair super silky.

My last step is to add a little mouse. I love volume. You can never have enough volume. One thing that has really fulfilled my volume needs recently is the Loreal Paris Boost It Mousse. I put some in my hand, rub it together and scrunch it in. It doesn’t leave my hair all crispy like most mousses, It leaves it soft but still gives it abit of texture.

I usually leave it to air dry after that if I’m not going out as It’s much better for your hair. My hair does stick up in all different directions if I sleep on it, but nothing the straighteners can’t sort out.

For styling, I have a few favourites. For volume, I love to use the Colab Extreme Volume Extreme Dry Shampoo in the RIO scent which smells lovely. I’ve also got the Luxe Shine Hair fragrance which I love! It adds shine and also smells incredible.  For hold, I use the Loreal Paris Studio Pro Lock It hairspray In Extra Strong. This holds any style in place! I don’t use too much as it is extra strong and can leave your hair a little crispy. But if you use the right amount you cannot feel it at all.

NEW Loreal Studio Pro Hair Styling Products

NEW Loreal Studio Pro Hair Styling Products

So I picked these up on a recent trip to Superdrug mainly because they caught my eye, I mean look at them!, The packaging is very edgey which I think looks awesome. The other thing thats awesome is the fact I picked ‘um up for around £3 each as they we’re on offer so they’re an absolute bargain. The reason I went to Superdrug was because I was after something that would put more volume in my hair as recently my hair has been so drab and lank. It just doesn’t seem to do anything but just ‘hang’ if that makes any sense. It doesn’t have any sort of style or volume. Lets just say me and my hair are really not getting on at the moment….

Any way, I picked up 2 products from the range. One being the Boost it Volume Mousse and the other being the Lock It Fixing Hair Spray. I needed new hair spray anyway so it wasn’t really a biggie. As these are new products, I though i’d give it a try. First of all, for a hair spray, it smells amazing! I usually hate the smell of hair spray. Especially when you spray abit too much and end up choking and having a horrible taste in the back of your throat for ages. But this doesn’t have that at all. It smell’s sooo good. I picked up the Extra Strong one as my hair is quite Unruly at times so I need abit of hold. It claims to have up to 48 hours hold, which is a very bold claim, although I did curl my hair a few days ago and the curls held so much better when I used this.

IMG_0710.JPG

Next up I brought the Boost It Volume Mousse. The idea of this is to add volume to the roots with abit of texture and it claims to be a ‘double hold formula’. You rub the mousse though the lengths of your damp hair, Concentrating on the roots to give you instant volume. I love this product. It’s really added the volume I needed. My hair has so much more texture to it so when I ruffle it up abit with my fingers, it holds in place nicely! Thumps up Loreal!

IMG_0712.JPG

Something different that Loreal has brought to the game is an APP to go along with the products, where you can virtually try different hairstyles and there are also tutorials on there apparently so that looks cool. I haven’t had chance try it personally but let me know what you think if you have..Overall it’s a big thumbs up for the Studio Pro range and I really would like to try some others for the range!

Khaki Nails

Its been a hectic and traumatic few days for me. I will go into more detail about this very soon when its all blown over and will do a post to explain, but basically this is gunna be a short one from me today!

I recently picked up this new nail varnish from Loreal. Its part of a new range of nail varnishes called Colour Riche Le Vernis L’Hulie. Isnt it such a beautiful colour? I’ve never seen this sort of khaki colour on the highstreet, its my favourite colour anyway so when i first saw it I knew it would be my all time fave. This new launch from loreal is enriched with a blend of precious oils so the colour and shine are both intense, which i definitely agree with.

I really think loreal nailed it with these ones… Like what i did there 😉
