When It comes to powder I normally like it pressed, Not loose. I have never really used a loose powder so this one from MAC was a complete step into the unknown. It’s MAC’s Studio Fix Perfecting Powder which I believe is fairly new. The main reason I picked it up was because I had a MAC Voucher off a colleague at work for my birthday and I decided I wanted to try something new. So this is what I picked. It was described on the MAC website as a ‘pro-quality, refined loose powder to set makeup with a matte finish. Infused with nourishing ingredients, it wears comfortably for hours without feeling drying. With sheer coverage, M∙A∙C Studio Fix Perfecting Powder is a universal makeup must for beginners and buffs alike’. Now I’m not really sure how this is meant to be applied so I will let you know how I wear it and how I got on with it. I apply this with a big powder brush all over my face after I have applied my foundation and concealer. I basically use it as a setting powder around my T-ZONE. It goes on like a dream, It almost feels silky. It doesn’t make you look overly powdering which is great because no one likes looking like a powdered mess do they. I wouldn’t say It completely mattifies which Ideally I would like but It’s nice for those days where you just want bit more coverage without going overboard. Now I don’t think this would be a very good setting/ Baking loose powder because I don’t think it would sit on top of the skin very well, It’s so soft and creamy so you could probably use a kabuki brush and buff it in like a foundation which I think I might try. Now don’t get me wrong I do like this powder, However at £21 I don’t feel like it does anything special, I think it gives me the same effect as any cheap drugstore products would so I probably wouldn’t repurchase again. Overall though I did like it and I will definitely use it all up.
I am on the market for a new setting powder so if you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments. I want to giving baking ago, I’m feeling adventurous!

Nice review. I haven’t used this, and I’ve shied away from loose powders in general for some reason.
