Recently I’ve been mixing my makeup up quite a lot. I used to stick to the same old stuff because I knew they worked for me. I have quite a lot of make up in my collection and I thought this would be a good way of mixing it up and getting the use out of all of it. Each month I am going to do an updated Make-up bag and hopefully throw in a few different products in there and mini reviews!
This month I’ve been really getting the use out of my Body Shop Insta Blur, one of my absolute fave primers. It’s great at mattifing my face ready for my foundation. I’ve recently rekindled my love for Loreal Infallible 24 hour Matte foundation. I absolutely love this foundation. I’d go as far as to say that it’s my all time favourite. Its Matte, It’s bendable and It lasts so long. Before concealer I like to use the Bobbi Brown Under Eye Corrector just to neutralise those under eye bags! Perfect If you’ve had a late night the night before. To conceal, I have two options. My everyday option is the Miss Sporty Liquid Concealer as It’s lightweight and doesn’t crease. If I’m going out and want abit more coverage then I will use my clarins Concealer. This concealer is brilliant for under eyes and blemishes so It’s a staple in my make up bag. Now, One to contouring those non-existent cheek bones. I like to use the Clinque Curvey Contour stick. It’s so easy to swipe on and blend and It looks flawless!
The next step for me is to powder, As I am part of the oily gal club I like to powder everywhere else I’ll look like an oil slick by 10am. So for this I have been using the Boujois Silk Edition Powder compact. This powder has a bit of coverage whilst still mattifying so It’s perfect for me. Next up, Bronzer. I go a little wild with bronzer not gunna lie. I’ve still got my trusty Soap And glory Solar Powder. Still in the old packaging! Will have to pick up a new one soon. It’s the perfect bronzer. Not too orange or cool toned. Just in the middle with a little shimmer throw in there too. Dreamy. Now this next bit is my favourite part. Highlighter. I know I must admit I do go abit over board most of the time but what the heck? It’s so pretty. Highlighter of choice at the moment is The Balm’s Mary-Lou Manizer.
Brows at the moment are being tamed by the Rimmel Brow This Way Sculpting Brow Kit. It’s a new purchase so still trying it out, but thumbs up so far! On to the Lids. I’ve been using the Naked Smokey Pallet. All time favourite of mine. I’ve been using the shade High all over the lid. Which is a shimmery champagne pink colour, Then taking radar through the crease, Which is a shimmery brown shade. I then line with the collection Extreme Felt Tip Liner. This will never change, It is my all time favourite. All that’s left then is lashes. And If you’ve read my recent post you’ll know me and mascara’s are not seeing eye to eye at the moment, Like what I did there? Well yeah, It’s just not working. So at the moment I’ve got the Maybeline Lash Sensational, Which I’ve actually reviewed before and hated! Although recently, It’s dried up a little and It seems to be working wonders!
Lips at the moment are kinda all the same. All neutral colours. On a daily basis I line with my GOSH lipliner in Nougat crisp and then I reach for Mac Velvet Teddy which is a matte finish but still super creamy and hydrating. I’ve also got two liquid lipsticks in the mix at the moment. One is The Balm’s Meet Matt(e) Hugh’s In Charming. It’s a dark browny plum shade and It surprisingly suits me quite well. I’ve also got the Revlon Ultra HD Matte lip colour In Seduction, Just for good measure of course. And Of course, I’ve got my lip balm in there, Can’t live without my lipblam!
